A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of a Tuesday afternoon blaze that gutted a popular Arnold, PA, bar. Fire fighters from three cities responded to the fire at David's Bar & Grill along Drey Street shortly before 1 p.m. The fire, which apparently started in the second floor of the structure, destroyed the business and closed busy Drey Street for hours while firefighters mopped up the mess. Fire companies from Arnold, New Kensington and Lower Burrell had the blazed knocked down in less than half an hour.

A church built in the 1920s was gutted by an apparent electrical fire early Tuesday morning in the Smoaks community of Colleton County, authorities report.

Four units from Colleton County Fire Rescue were dispatched to Emmanuel Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Church at 3:25 a.m., according to Assistant Chief David Greene.
